I guess if Wards car shows up on a trailer we will know why, hopefully he will bring jack stands also

Getting closer, put new tires on the trailer and got a couple spares just incase. Put new trailer brakes on trailer as well.

We are going to be doing the Oregon Trail route in reverse, at least most of it, paved version though. Will be leaving Sat. 14th and plan on being there Wednesday around noonish

Allen, looking forward to meeting you also. Yes we got your order for the shirts. They are delivered to the Gathering by the company making them. Any that have to be sent out are sent after we get home.:)

Try to make it. It would be great to see you once again. If all goes as planned, I will be there this year, probably with one of the Cougars(sorry guys), at least it's a classic.

Wouldn't you know it, I have no Maverick at this moment and last night in the bar, I met some folks from Somerset, he said he has seen the Mavericks there and wondered about the Gathering, he also noticed my old Maverick on the screen and asked about it, told me if I ever wanted to come up that I could stay with them as long as I wanted, so now I need another running Maverick and some time off!!! I could just quit my job and hitch a ride back with them lol, but seriously, they have a young daughter who is sight impaired since birth and she comes up and sings Karaoke, her name is Chelsea, it's great, and they are very nice folks and a lot of fun to be around, say hi to them if they come by to see the cars.

    Hey Jim,

Would like to see you and the others again too. I'm dealing with a wierd health issue so we'll see how that goes. Have a possibility for shotgun. Sure hope its not super HOT that week.

Your Cougar is a great car. Especially since you pulled it back from the edge of distruction.

No problem with a Cougar here, I own one as well. We have had a Mustangs, Falcons, T's and coupes even a Ford powered Vega over the years at a Gathering event.

My Maverick Sprint or Comet GT are not ready to come out to a party yet. Someday, one of them will show up. Also, on the 28th, there is a large show in Louisville I plan on going to with the Kentuckiana Classic Cougar Club, of which I am a member. I am still an ole Ky boy at heart even though my place of residence is in Fl.

Jim, hope you can make it so I can see that great looking Sprint again, along with it's new improvements.

Ruth and I just came back from the mountains today. I was up there all week. Truck refused to start yesterday. Had it towed to the Ford dealer there. They won't get to it until Tuesday. Also having an A/C problem. They are going to look at it all. Hopefully will get it back by next weekend. Has 96K on it. I have a 100K warranty.
Also the tranny in the Taurus stated to knock and shift hard from 1-2, and 2-3. When it rains it pours.
I also realized that I never replaced the trailer hitch when someone stole it a while back. Have no way to pull the trailer. Guess I need to order one quick. Most places don't carry one that heavy, so it will take a few days to get it.

Wow Don your ahead this year. Usually you wait to have problems during the trip :D

I would think any RV dealer would have a hitch for you. Guess they stole it for scrap steel.

Just to make you guys feel better. I just drove the Maverick around town. Came back and checked the timing. I didn't change it at all. Now the alternator light is on.
