Thanks Guys, Im really pleased with the color. Looks much better in person. I made several color samples before I decided on that color. I actually bought a different pearl additive first. Now its sitting on a shelf wating to be used elsewhere.

Here is where I get my paint. Many colors to chose from. You gan even order small ready to spray bottles for samples. I bought several different colors. I am very pleased with them. http://www.tcpglobal.com/ I have different colors of pearl from them that I tried also. That site is a painters delight...

Do you think this paint can go from the blue color to a silver? I do like the purple but my colors are and have been planned to be this color blue with silver reflective GT stripes. So I am thinking the pearl effect going into a silver might be what I should go with.. I do already have a new silver vinyl top in the box and it's tired of waiting

Edit: Maybe it's the Blueberry Shift..

I think that on probably goes to a purple color too. You could maybe put some silver pearl in the clear coat. That may get you the color youre after. get a 4oz ready to spray bottle and see if what it does. I went through a few of those bottles. Ive bought a few different pearls from them trying different mixtures of colors and pearls.

I am guessing that the color of the primer may have an affect also?

I painted everything white first, then the color. It covers much better this way and makes it a little brighter.

I havent been on the message board for quite some time but have returned in the last few weeks looking at all the cool builds going on. There is a lot of talent on this board. This being one of them. I've always wanted to extend the spoiler and mold it in. I see now it definitely improves the look. I talked to Mark Gustavson many years ago about molding them in. He did pretty much what you did and at the time, hadn't seen any cracking after being done for about 2 years. I was thinking of doing the initial bond with JB Weld mixed with some fiberglass shards. Or maybe that panel adhesive that is available now. I was initially thinking about 1 1/2 to 2 " extension but that 1" looks perfect. What did you use to extend the spoiler and end caps?

You guys have definitely motovated me to get back to work on my Comet.
