How about some more header pics, these were after I ran them and just before I sold them.

I have done stranger things!!! Am picking up the car next week. Will get it back and look at everything and put a plan together. Would be worth the trip for a set of headers that look that good. No doubt they perform even better!

Stephen, They are beautiful and I was going to get them in no matter what! It took some work to fit them with the R&C kit because of the steering shaft geometry but they are bolted up and ready to go. Here are a few pix and thanks again.

What do you guys think of this combo? Still working on the exact cam, this would be a "budget" street/strip motor (hypereutectic pistons/cast crank). Probably would be another $1500 in misc parts, I know how that goes...

    block $2200 tre 408 street
    heads $1870 afr 205
    cam $ 500 hydro roller
    intake mani $295 vic jr
    carb $400 870cfm
    headers $400 crites
    total $5665

That is an RRS manual rack conversion that I used to run on my car. It can be found at rrs-online.com. I have since switched to a stiletto rack which is front steer, much lighter and more in-tune w/ drag racing.

Would love to see some pic's of the stiletto setup on a Comet/Mav. Your correct, it is the latest technology with the hard core mustang drag racers. Also makes for easily dropping the oil pan without pulling or jacking up the engine
