While my son was driving his Maverick for the second day after being handed the keys a truck dropped something in front of him destroying on BF Goodrich Radial T/A and American Racing Torque Thrust II. Luckily both he and the car are ok. Took the destroyed tire in and it is covered under road hazzard, but had to buy a new wheel.
On a good note we are heading out to pick up our goodies from Classic Inlines!

    terminology

Automatic transmisions require FLEXPLATES and standard transmissions require FLYWHEELS (FYI). I've got two (2) flexpaltes, one (1) from a 250 I6 and the other from a 302 V8. I believe these are interchangeable BUT niether will work on the 170 or 200 I6. Sorry..."Garv"

After the tire and wheel mishap we picked up all the parts from Mike at Classic Inlines. Will finish scrubbing down the engine, inner fender panels and firewall. Will get all the alloy parts sanded, polished and apply the wrinkle finish.

Started digging into the 351W, it's a 1974 block!! took the heads off, took off the oil pan and noticed something I have not seen before, it has a 1/8" thick external flange seperate of the oil pan that bolts on, I guess it would be to beef up the oil pan mating surface seal and keep it tight and straight, I just have never seen one before but I like the concept/function.
