    I noticed on one of the mavericks i seen racing last weekend that they had the front springs bound with steel cable and cable clamps. Why is that? I forgot to ask them!

    My Maverick was setup as a drag only car in 1979................and my front end has "cable limiters"..................I assume this is what they could be. On my car there is a bracket attached to the top A arm with a cable going from that bracket to another one welded on the top of the spring tower. They are adjustable with 3 or 4 holes which will allow the A arm to droop only so much when you have both wheels off the ground..................................IMHO

    Next weekend Drag Racing in Port McNeil! Come on out again...I have some sticky tires for you to use! Will make a huge difference for sure! We will all be driving up Friday evening...Micheal is camping if u are interested. Let me know...

    That may be what they had! Next time i see them i'll check closer.
