Just got caught up on the whole thread (over several days reading) and two things have struck me, "franktf" has always been humble about his skills and the best two words I can come up with to describe him is "Master Craftsmen". Just like the old days, during the industrialization when men bent, welded, pounded, and rolled steel to make things from sheer will. franktf stands with them, a master craftsmen…

I second your statement. I hope to see it in person one day when it is finished.

I really need to work with you to learn how to fab like you. Your fab skills are nothing like what we have here locally. I'm looking forward to the finished project.

I still can't get over the fact that weld beads are actually "supposed" to look like that - for some strange reason, mine don't :biglaugh:

Took the car off the cart, it is now has block under the rear tires and jack stands under the front subfram/torque box area(I also took the cart components back to work and dropped them off so I don't have to look at them in my shop anymore)..... Then I got down all the front suspension stuff, disassembled it all and figured out what grade 8 bolts I need to get to replace the grade 5's that were supplied.....

I have also been cleaning up the piston/rod assemblies in some chem dip..... Today I got my buret out and checked the volume of the dish in the pistons so I could figure out what the static compression will be.....

Here's the car off the cart.....

Most of the front suspension stuff.....

and here's one of the buret when I was cc'ing the piston.....
