Hellooooooooooo........!!!!!! You guys still alive or dead of heat stroke or drowned in a flash flood? So anybody got any ideas for a Fall Meet? I need some motivation to make my car run again. I think Gene does too. Also this saturday morning is another Coffee and donuts show at Baer Brakes from 8am to Noon. Ill be there in my Mustang since the maverick isnt running. Its at 2222 W. Peoria in the back parking lot if anybody wants to come. Small car show, swap meet, and factory tour. And free donuts..
MCAS Yuma will receive the 1st F-35B at the end of August and will receive 1 a month after that for a total of 5 full squadrons, the training simulators are almost finished. Personel and equipment are being moved into the 2 completed hangars. I always enjoy living 2 miles, as the crow flies, from MCAS. Lots of cool Aviation toys fling around.
Not dead yet, but I feel like it. I finally gutted the master bath, Hanging Rock now, no work on my car for a month. No ideas for a fall meet yet, but Ill give it some thought.
im still alive. the small car show/meet sounds interesting. if i dont sleep in ill go for sure. as far as the fall meet goes, how about a small cruise somewhere maybe south mountain??? ill ask one of my friends with a dslr camera to take the pics
Just got back from the mountains this afternoon. Ran Firebird weekend before last. Lost in the finals. Going to the Run to the Pines car show in Pinetop last weekend in September. Limited to the first 550 cars pre-entered. And yes it is full. Some time in October would be good for me for a Fall meet. Might even bring a Maverick this time. Seems to be running good with a little over 300 miles on the new engine.
Don't know if it will happen, but I have been working with a friend of mine who's family owns Honey Bears BBQ and we are looking into doing a monthly Saturday Night Cruise Night at the Tempe location on Elliot and Priest. I hope we can get it going. Will post when I get more details. Would love to meet some local Maverick nuts and see some of your cars in person.
Hi all! How have you guys been? Been a while for me on the forum. Just got done hiking Mt. Humphrey this last weekend in Flagstaff. Was on my bucket list. Highest peak in Arizona (12,633 ft.). Also, just ran my finger through some machine dies at work two days ago. Ow. That's been all the excitement in my life thus far. I gotta try to get re-focused on the Maverick, though. The owner of my company just picked up a '50's Ford truck rolling chassis and a 2012 Mustang crate motor and 6 speed. He said he's looking around to contract a speed shop to massage the motor to 550 HP and build the truck. There's no one else in my shop that might stand a chance (even a little one) at running him, except my Mav. :evilsmile I think it'd be funny if my $10k streeter beat his $60k build. Just thought I'd pop in and say hi to everyone. I see Resto's still puttin' foot to ass. Hi Resto! Eric
i'm hoping to get my pistons back from the machine shop so I can put my motor back together. :bananaman
Right on Gene. Get that thing back togethor in the next month or so atleast so we can plan the next meet. And if you need any help dont hesitate to call.......... Tony.
