Went and bought a starter, pilot bushing, oil and filter, now I can get the tranny bolted up and try and sneak the engine in the car, went by and saw my paint mixing guy, told him what a good job matching the color he did!!

Puy in my fuel tank, wired up electronic ignition, attempted to trace down some wiring problems. Think I have a ground problem. Anybody know how many grounding bolts there are on a 70? Tailights work, but clearance lites are very dim. Looks like I may be able to start her up tomorrow. Still got to get my clutch setup worked out.

Yes, thanks. There was a big learning curve and a lot of grinding to do but it turned out good. I was having a lot of issues at first with not getting good penetration and the weld globing up or burning holes through the pieces.

Got the heater box out and a LOT of small parts.
Hope to pull the motor and trans. this weekend.

Anyone know if the dash just bolts in. It looks like it to me.....BUT not sure. Thanks for the help in advance.

It does bolt in but you can't see some on the small screws that are at the top edge of the dash closest to the windshield - they are hidden by the windshield rubber seal - the usual solution is to remove the windshield first :)
