Sad But true. mine is broken right now. And like you I have spent too much free time working on a Mustang. Too hot to work on things that I want to do, only been fixing things that I have to do.

Now if me and gene get our cars running also then we are halfway there to the numbers of cars that will show up to the Fall Meet.

I have a 72 comet that I got a week after the crash and then I use all the parts I took off my Maverick as I made it faster.

I would have thought the car would be lighter than that. My Mav is about 2750 with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas.

my 1970 is 2,420 with me and 5 gallons in the 5 gallon fuel cell but mine only has 1 race seat and Lexan windows all the way aroundeverything else is gone. I have sub frame connectors but no roll cage as NHRA rules say only if your 10 seconds or faster. I run between 11.98 to 12.20 depending on conditions at the track.

NHRA rules say 11.49 or faster. Used to be 11.99. I put a bar in to run the ET Finals in Bakersfield, Calif. After I did that they changed it to 11.49. Oh well.

    Nice Times !!

It would pick up with some head work of course, but i would run an air gap intake and a 750 carb mean wile. Im sure you would pick up with those changes.

What were your 60ft times? And what was your trap rpm compared to shift rpm?
