My 60ft time is 1.56, I shift at 6500 and go thru the traps about 6300. I will be fun to see what she runs this winter.:dancing:

Is that where that motor runs out of power? I don't knowhow good those heads flow, but was thinking, that engine would spin up another 1000 rpm

I shift at 5800 and go through the traps at 7000. I have hit the rev limiter that is set for 7400. I run 12.0's usually but have run as fast as 11.81. I might be able to get a little more out of it but running Sportsman you can't run faster than 12.0.:)

I could push it harder but i want this motor to last a long time. It's still making good power when i shift. Why spin it any harder than I have to.

Don, I will be running Pro next year. I have a Trans break in the car and a two step so I might as well use it.

if you don't want to push it to where that Victor likes to live.. I would retune it for an airgap. It will make a good bit more torque for a better 60 ft and you'll probably only lose 10-12 horse(maybe even less) up top with such a short rpm. Heck.. with an open spacer on it.. you migtht even gain power up top of your self imposed rpm limit too! Fatter powerband all around is what the airgap will do. The car will run a better number.

Either that.. or spin it to the cam a bit longer and do a little extra maintenance to make her live. Seems like there could be another easy couple tenths left aside there.. and I surely wouldn't have the abstenance required to not go find it. :bouncy:
