I need a lot of practice before my 60ft's are that good! This was only my second time ever racing and my first time in the mav. I figured I should get a feel for the car before trying to see what she can really do. I wonder if a 28" tall tire will keep it from hitting the rev limter?

My 460 in the Mustang has 1.63 60' and runs 7.40 @ 91 in the 1/8, haven't run this combo in the 1/4 yet. 60' is the quickest area to improve ET, if you make it quicker, the 1/4 will really show an improvement! 28" tires will help, a little less gear would too.
My slow street Maverick (stockish) runs 9.00 in the 1/8 with a 2.05 60'

Next time when I go I'd like to get my 60' down to a 2.0. I'm looking for a set of 28" tires used but cant find any. I have a set of 235/75/15's here but that's giving up about an inch of width, I may give those a try unless you guys don't think its a good idea.

remflex works great in a turbo car, no other comparable gaskets out there

I also use DEI's SPA turbo flange sealant on my personal stuff it will seal up to a .500 thou gap with no gasket
you can get both from summit

NEVER use RTV it will not hold up to the extreme heat of a turbo car

I have a newb question....what's a good D.A.? When I corrected the times they came out slower. I always thought it corrected to 0? My D.A. on those runs were 555ft.

The lower the density altitude the better. 500ft is good. With some slicks or drag radials you should run low 11's in the 1/4. My mustang has been 7.40's at 91 with a 1.63 60ft. With your mph low 7's in the 1/8 should be easy to get

I was thinking that was a good da, even though the realative humidity was 94%. I am hoping to get to high tens on 10 psi, do you think I could make it after getting a better 60' and taller gears? If it doesn't then I guess I'll just have to turn the knob on the boost controller lol. My main goal is just to get to 10's.

Ever try the "Drag Racing Workbench" App for the Android by Motor City Software. It has all the tracks in it, check it out. When I looked at the track conditions this morning for our track the DA was at -128.0, it's currently at 478.0. For example the current DA showing for Firebird is 3788.0. Give it a shot I think you might like it.
