Been working on something newer here lately. Going the 24th of this month for a tune and lay down some dyno numbers.Haven't had it tuned and dyno's yet, but the tuner (and several people) have mentioned that I should see anywhere from 500-550 rwhp. For those of you who have me on FB, this is nothing new...but figured I'd share with the rest of yall :yup:

    Rundown of the car:

    2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1

    Original aluminum block
    03/04 Cobra crank
    Manley SVT forged H-beam rods
    Mahle forged pistons (10:1 compression)
Original aluminum heads with 03/04 cobra cams
Ford Racing shorty header, off-road x pipe, flowmaster delta force mufflers

Procharger P1SC setup, polished head unit
    3.5 pulley
    60lb GT500 injectors
    Stryker 340lph fuel pump

T3650 5sp transmission, stock with synthetic fluid
Pro 5.0 short throw shifter base with stock handle
    Ky-clutch dual friction clutch

    8.8 SRA
    FRPP 31 spline limited-slip unit
    Alloy 31 spline axles
    Precision gear 3.73 gears
    FRPP rear end girdle

2003 Mach I? wow that must be rare. nevermind, for some reason I was thinking they only made them in 04.

Looks like a sweet ride though. If I ever move out of the Fox bodys i want to build up a 2001 Bullitt.

Sounds like it is a lot of fun. A friend of mine also has a 2003 Mach I, but it is not built up like yours. He won't race me in my 2001 Cobra which is basically stock too. My brother has actually driven both cars and said the Cobra is faster. I definitely wouldn't want to pull up next to you though. Here is a pic I took a couple of weeks ago.

I used to own a Bullitt as well...attatched is a pic when I owned the Bullitt and Mach 1 at the same time

99/01 Cobra's basically have the same stock setup as our cars. only real different is that y'all have IRS and the T45 in 99 vs. the T3650 for the later yrs. sweet car btw!

I have a similar set up, but using the D1/3.20 pulley and stroked. What is your boost level?

@ 19.88 lbs of boost put my Mach I down at 595.5rwhp/525 lbs of trq. Numbers would increase had I done something other than retaining stock cams. I did have it at 651rwhp, but I felt it was dangerously lean...

if it won't break 400rwhp, I'll give it to you :biglaugh:

3.5/3.4 pulley (have both that I'm going to try) @ 14-15 lbs
My brother has a D1 on his '03 GT, 3.7 pulley and makes around 11-12 lbs and dyno'd 424rwhp on the same dyno I'm going to

Sweet, that being said it should make more but it depends on alot of variables including the tuner also so i stayed conservitive with my numbers but i doubt itll make 500 at the tires unless you boost the crap out of it jmho

    I originally had a P1/4.00 @ 12 lbs of boost w/ 42 lb injectors and not stroked.

    Numbers came in @ 472rwhp/432trq.

To do this all over again, turbo is the only way to go in my view - no parasitic powerloss which means efficiency. And, I'd go with twins to reduce spool lag.

However, I'm NOT doing it all over again as I'm returning to carbs/NA... :tiphat:

The guy doing my tune is about the best in the state (and his bill will reflect it lol). In his professional opinion, he said to expect 520 or so on a very safe tune @14lbs

What rpm did u make 12lbs with the 4.00 pulley? my brother is seeing 12lbs@6000 with his 3.7 but thats with a D1. what psi did u see with diff pullies on your P1 if you dont mind me asking

I don't recall with the P1 what rpm it was, (2007), but as you know, pulley's on these SC are not the easiest to remove/install. Frankly, they are a PITA and bolts are just aching for you to tighten them a quarter turn too much on the aluminum block...

    The D1 was at 6,300rpms.

    510/472@5700
pump maxed out at 5k rpms,
and fuel pressure dropped below 20psi @ 5700
Gonna step up the fuel system a bit and
should make close to 540-550 rwhp
