LOL I gotta tell you something about these Mavericks, first I always liked Fords, my very first car was a Ford Falcon. But when I look at Novas compared to Mavericks, the Mavericks really win. So it's a lot better than saying you have a Nova ;-) It's OK to say Maverick :-D
Cool, but if nothing is made here it really doesn't matter. I guess they employee people who sell the stuff. You know how sad that is? Thinking about sticking Taiwan parts on my car, makes me ill...
not if you want a mustang place to sell you Mustang parts for one... I went to Mustang unlimited and ask for a part that would interchange with my mav. when I told the guy it was for my maverick, He said..."we don't sell Maverick parts...next in line". it ticked me off but I had driven 2 hrs. to get there so I went outside for a few mins. and then got back in line. when it was my turn again...I asked for the same part for a '73 Mustang...Guy set it on the counter, I paid him and went out the door...
Melvin's make a few of their own parts...but not Maverick parts. I have one of their transmission mounts on my Falcon. It's built like a battleship.
I bought some off shore handles for my Maverick years ago and the first time they froze, the arm the the push button hits folded up. They maybe better now, but just in case I bought a near 'fair' set of originals.
I have a pair of those handles brand new in the package I am not going to use if anybody wants them. I am up for a good deal to get rid of them. Glenn
Shoot! Just wanted I needed to hear! Did you replace the internal parts, or try to, with the old stock ones?
NPD sells the best Mustang stuff ... They offer different grades of parts. Here are USA made Handles ... http://www.npdlink.com/store/produc...2_year_manufacturer_warranty-147199-2934.html
National Parts Depot lists 3 grades of door handles for the 67-68 Mustang that will fit our cars. Imported Repro US Repro Better Chrome US Repro Best Chrome I bought a cheap import set years ago and installed them and they never worked correctly. They are sitting on the shelf in the garage and will likely go out with a load of scrap.
