Hahaha...good one Tony! Say I think Tony and I pulled my motor, got the damage repaired, put motor back together and back in the car with Tony's help...before you fixed your MSD issue...just saying... Maybe you just need more help?
I may have cut to closely to the bone on that one. He usually comes back with a quick response, but he just sort of rolled over on that one. I almost feel bad.
Jackstand placement is crucial. Even more crucial is making sure you rear diff dosnt slip off the jack and the car falls on the awaiting jackstand. Besides, I did have my car running after replacing the MSD box before Gene got his enigne back togethor. Ya its a small battle to win but I'll take it.
If any of you guys are bored this Sunday I will be wrenching on the Mustang. Doing a disc brake swap in the back. Need to remove the rear brakes, intall all the disc stuff, run ebrake cables, change out master cylinder and prop valve, and bleed it all. I ran out of maverick things to do so I cant resist playing with the stang. Plus it needs a new master cylinder anyways so might as well upgrade.
it fell off the jack!! You guys are mean. Im going to get a Pinto instead. Ive heard they are nicer over there.
Maybe there's a reason none of the other local guys join us in here or in person at out meets. I see some pop up in other parts of the board and I PM them but they dont seem interested in meeting up with us. guess they get scared off by all the meanie heads in here.
I'll try to make it over but I can't promise anything...this weekend is pretty busy for me. Did you get that pinto yet??
I doubt I can make it this time, thats a long way for me and than theres trying to get time off work... by the way I found out why my car was lean on the dyno atleast the main reason, the idle jet had some junk in it... I drove it to work awhile after the dyno meet and it didn't want to idle just died, so thats good now. forget those specter fuel filters just use a stock type. I still haven't done anything else to the car that I've been wanting to... I hate to see it just sitting there... sucks not having any money to work on it... tempted to try and sell it but I've had it for over 11 years. on a side note would any of you trust a flux core mig welder for suspension or structeral work?
I got my brother in law coming over so dont worry about it too much Gene. Its not going to be very much labor involved. I already have most of the old stuff removed tonight. But if you love playing with hydraulic fittings and try to figure out what fitting to use to adapt the stuff then thats where most the time will be spent I think.
