72 maverick compatibility armrests / armrests 71-73 mustang

    they are the same. but the repros don't have the inner metal structure as the old ones and rip apart fairly easy.

    There is a repop out ther now that has the reinforcement inside it. It costs more but it is worth it.

    I found some armrests from a 73 4 dr. The rear door armrests are exactly like the ones on my 70 2 dr. Maybe this might work for you.

    I found a 73 4dr. Comet at junkyard and took the REAR DOOR armrests and put them on my 2dr. ' 70 Maverick and trust me they are exactly the same as the 2dr. Check it out, most think these are too small but they ARE the same. Hope this helps...maveruss1

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    The Maverick "Delux" arm rests are the longer ones like 71 to 73 mustangs. Standard mav armrests are short like the last ones pictured. If you have the short ones you can use the long ones if, you mod your door panel for the extra length of the delux rests rear mount point and move the bracket on the door panel to rear hole on the door. Pull the door panel off and you will see what I mean...Good luck!!!
