I'll try to get one tomorrow... Thanks Glenn! I decided to pretend I knew what I was doing, and strip some paint... It's either the Bud Light, or the fumes...but I'm happy.
We're the silent type - but we're listening! Looks like a good size, super clean rim, I can see right through it!
Don't these projects always do that? My Mav was supposed to be a quick $5k redo and make it a neat little driver. I passed that a few times over already Lol!! It is what it is.
Yup, this was suppose to be a quick fix, and drive car..nothing to worry too much about, and enjoy...but now it's.."I don't like the look of that spot weld"..... But then again, I finished my Green car in less time than I've owned this one...
12 years and counting..... I'll have perfected all the skills I'll need, when it's time comes around..But I could just put it back together....
I know how it is Dave ... that stage you don't want to go to .... I keep looking at my driver door, sitting on the bench, knowing that if I reskin it, my car enters the "Patches" stage ... no more "all green, but patina'd" ... which is a vibe that doesn't really bother me that bad. Having one black door on it changes all that and means a ton more work facing me .... sigh .... This has kept me motivated to do all the little projects on the list that have piled up while I ignore the bigger issue.
Brings to mind a song.... ♪♫ One Thing.....Leads To Another ♪♫ And that's the way it goes, but it is looking great!!!
Thanks guys. Today's saga....the more I cut...the less I find.... But..as a hoarder...I just happen to have this: Which was the leftover from this:
cut, fit, weld, cut, fit, weld, cut, fit, weld, cut, fit, weld, cut, fit, weld It's a never ending process or seems that way sometimes...... Keep up the good work.....
I drilled out the welds holding the trunk drop to the wheel well section I have, and it's not really that good, plus it has all the holes in it from the spot weld cutter, so I guess I'll make my own. Not much time tonight, so tomorrow I'll cut it out.
