Not sure if anyone has heard of this place in north Georgia call Old Car City but, it's at least ten acres of cars with nothing newer than the late 70's. I went up there and took a few pics. Then I started noticing the Mav's and Comets. There must have been at least 20 that I could see. Below are a few of the ones that aren't completely overgrown. The one nice thing about this place is that everything is for sale. So, if you found something you fancied talk to the owner and make an offer.
those cars have prolly been there so long those trees next to them were weeds in the grass when they first arrived its cool to see them resting there but its sad to see them rotting away like that. there used to be a junk yard close to me called bonanza autowreckers that had cars just setting out in fields in no specific organization or no era cut off other than nothing newer than the early 70's. most were 20's to 60's. all of the cars there looked almost as if they were all just kinda pushed down a hill and were they landed is where they stayed
http://www.oldcarcity.com/?page_id=12 check out their inventory ... ...WE SELL RESTORABLE CARS. (WE DO NOT SELL PARTS)...
2 things in this picture which appears to be a 1970 The car looks to have a good dash pad And why is there aftermarket A/C when it is an A/c equipped car?
Orig evap was bad??? Was there a power vent option avail?? In that case the vents are there but were not A/C... The VINs should be added to the ones already collected...
I'm thinking now it is a dash transplant, as it has the glove box, which is not 1970, but it has 1970 switch knobs.
Glove boxes didn't start until 73. Plus I don't think the vent always means that the car had AC. Look under the left side of teh dash. You can see the handle for the fresh air vent which AC car did not have. My buddy just bought a 72 without AC and it has the vent in the center of the dash like this one. I always thought the same thing though.
