I still have to buy my rear setup, I'm using a coil-over front setup from TCP. What are you guys using out back for a rear diff, shock, etc

What are you setting it up for?

I have 4-leaf springs with caltracs. Sorta good for track and street. Sorta...

A good all around driver. Your combo is one that I considered, how do you like it.

stock for now but have an 8.8 from a 95 expedition to be done up with a full spool 31 spline axles and Im not real sure about the gears just yet. when I get closer Ill have a better idea of the gears Ill go with. I still have $750 left to finish paying for the parts and labor total was $1250 I still need to upgrade the suspension and get some traction bars thinking about a 4link set up but not sure how hard and how expensive it will be to do

Same but with KYB shocks, handles awesome, not worth the expense to change to something else.

I have been pleased with it, so far. Running a mini-spooled 3.80 out back, so it still has a little pep off the line, but I can drive it on the highway at around 3000 rpms. I seldom go to the track, just too lazy. But if I did, I would go with at least 4.11 or higher, but to keep it highway friendly, the 3.80 works out pretty good.

My only complaint with the Caltracs, is those, coupled with my subframe connectors, makes it almost impossible to set up side exit exhaust, since all the side real estate is taken.

3000 is not a lot. That's where I get the best gas mileage (19.75 mpg) in my Falcon. Here's me at 75 miles an hour in the slow lane going to work 80 mile commute.

I've got a t5, so gearing is a non issue. I'm thinking of going with the explorer rear. Still haven't decided on what shocks and leafs.

I get 20 mpg at 3000 rpms, as well. But that means I have to cruise at 60 mph. But when I am out on the highway, I don't mind pulling over into the slow lane and just "chillin' and cruisin'".

27" tall rear tires on mine.

Around here...nobody drives the slow lane. For some odd reason the slow traffic is next to the fast lane no matter how many lanes they get to choose from. The fast lane is going 5 mph over the posted speed limit.

stock 3 leaf springs, custom made traction bars that closely resemble scoopers. 9" with 3.89 gears, trac loc limited slip, 31 spline axles. i was running old worn gabriel red ryder shocks. the worked just fine. eventually ill switch out to an adjustable shock.

How difficult is it to change the rear shocks? Can someone give me some advice?
    Thanks
