Now with the boomerang out why not just take out the rear windows, OK I see the 3 screws on the door pillar and 2 at the flipper. Well 1 of the screws on the flipper doesn't want to break loose. Does the flipper come apart at any place or am I going to have to slot the screw with a dremo ? Thanks Rick

You gotta take those 2 screws out, they can be tight...

there's a roll pin where the 'flipper' attaches to the bolt in the glass.

Yes, there are only 5 per window. Do you only take one part off a day?

Use an offset screw driver and get them loose.

Is that the same color the car was when I saw it at RU 2011? It's kind of hard to tell w/ the light reflection. It looks like it maybe a Hugger Orange. Also, is the car in your pole barn when the pix were made or paint shop? THE CAR LOOKS GREAT... (y)

Mojo, long time no see I hope everything is going good for you ! Thats my barn and the color is the same Red just wheeled it out. If you look at the spoiler you can see the different from 71 paint to base, clear in the same color. Thats one of the reasons I'm painting it, nobody could match the 71 paint. But now all the little **** will get fixed and the flat spots on the roof where they stored boxes will get smoothed out. Nice hearing from you ! I'm trying to keep up with that dam Mick and his Comet. Rick

I am jealous of the garage/pole barn. Looks like a full service setup, lift an all.
I assume the bumpers are off they will be restored too. I wanted do make the RU this year but knee surgery put a halt on that... Really hated to miss it. So, did u paint the car w/ the 71 OE code? Can't tell the diff. in the spoiler and the car - looks the same to me.
On another note; I had a plastic gas filter in my gas line and it deformed where the hose clamps attach and spilled gas all over the engine. It rendered the car inoperable, had tow it home and was vry lucky it did not catch fire. The ironic thing is, I had two metal filters at home and had intended to change it out long b4 this happened ... just kept putting it off. "No more plastic filters here. Something to think abt...

Mojo I'm going to paint it the same color and it never had a spoiler before. I got the hoist because I had to have both of my knees replaced and I can't get down on the ground like I used to. It's great getting into the back seat to pull the windows, I have to pile rags up and kneel on them. And yes I live right down the road from the round-up, 85 miles down the road. I can live with comments like down the road or what do you do take off one part a day but I would like to say some people don't always have the time thats some others might have. Myself, I have a 35 year old non-verbal little girl that will always be a 3 year old. She has had over 70 shunt revisions, a shunt is a tube that runs out of the brain and has a check valve so the fluid in her brain stays at a certain pressure. I could go on about her condition but no reason to, it's just to let people know we all have different lives and they seem to detate what and when we are able to play with our toys. Like I said comments are OK and I get a kick out of them! ! ! Dave I got 1, thats one window out today and I'm going for the other tomorrow.
