Stripped the front down to the spindle for my disc brake conversion. Anyone ever seen something like this before? Someone welded a piece of steel to the drum but only on the passenger side.

Posted this on my build thread, but last night I started making some of the panels I need to fix my quarter rust on the rt rear. First piece to make is the lower trunk drop patch. I'm not real satisfied with the results but it's usable. I wanted to try to simulate the factory bead but my roller had difficulty with the large dies.

Still needs work but it should work out ok. Picking up more sheet metal today to start the lower quarter patch. I going to attempt fabing it all and I'm going to at least bead roll the lower part where the pinch weld folds down. I really don't just want it flat underneath.

Drove the Maverick to work today. The license expires tonight at midnight, so she goes away for a winters-worth of tinkering after tonight.

    Could be a balance weight?
I had screw on weights on my 66 Buick Aluminum finned drums, some were bigger than others, but they all had them on from the factory.

Drove it!!, well it was only about 20 feet or so, gave it a bath, and now know the cable clutch is not gonna stay, I hate that cable set-up, gotta do something else to it, I thought I could get away with the PO's set-up he had in it but I see now he never even drove the car!

Would guess that one was grossly out of balance and the other wasn't...IMHO
