    Interior question -
I am working on a 1977 Maverick - bench seat car - Blue in color, inside and out. I would like to know if the seat material is an OEM material. It looks like a corduroy material with vinyl around the sides and the back. I would like to redo the seats with the same material, if it is available.
I have attached a couple of pictures. The material is faded but maybe someone can identify it for me.
    Thanks
    John

Looks aftermarket to me. Are you sure these are not seat covers covering the original seat material?

Post up your trim code and somebdoy can tell you what the interior was originally.

Thanks Craig. I know Dave B. sent you a picture a while ago and your thoughts then were aftermarket. They are definately not seat covers. The hog rings (?) all look like they have been there for a long time.
I can not post the trim code because the door post sticker is no longer there and I have not as of yet ordered a Marti report.
I was hoping another Maverick owner might have the same material in his car - what ever the color and maybe the trim code would verify it was a factory material.

Interior Seat Material - Today I received my Marti report on my 77 Maverick. I am still trying to verify if the seat material shown in my first post is OEM factory. The door data plate information shown on my Marti report shows 3G as the exterior color - Bright Dark Blue Metalic and it shows BB as the trim code - Blue cloth/Vinyl Bench Seat. This seat material is like a corduroy with vinyl back and edges.
Can anyone tell me if Trim Code BB could have been this material?
    Thanks for your help.
    John

BB is Blue cloth & vinyl, in the book I have. I'll have to find a sales brochure and see if it's pictured.

Post #27, pix 0710 are the covers Fred made for me; the grey inserts were installed cuz I don't like the sweaty vinyl. I wish now, I had him do the center panel on the frt of the frt seats in cloth. If u want original as per trim code Fred can probably supply ur needs.

Yeah, if you call SMS, give them the code, and they will send you the samples of what it is.

I contacted SMS and had samples in less than 2 weeks of my interior code BB. What is in my car is NOT factory. Craig, the picture you posted is factory BB according to SMS.
    Thanks everybody for your help.
Thinking I still like mine better.

You are so right Craig -- $85.00 per yard for the fabric from SMS BUT $145.20 per yard for the same fabric from one of our Canadian suppliers.
I am really liking Corduroy now.
