Mounted Sport mirrors, started seatbelt install, realized I had the wrong rear kick panels in it for my seats so pulled out the correct panels from storage and painted them with SEM, installing in the morning.

Very nice place you stayed at... I honestly do love it here, Only in the spring/summer though.. It's beautiful. Other times of the year it just rains.. And rains... And rains.

Yes they were nice places, but you only live once..............and like I told my kids.........."don't expect inheritance when I leave, because I will have spent it all"..........I've only been there in the summer months and I'm sure it rains quite a lot during the months, just like Seattle and Portland, OR.
Where is the nearest drag strip to you?, and is it 1/8th mile or 1/4 mile?

    Happy New Year

my guess would be the drag strip im port alberni.

i love the pacific northwest, whenever our little son is old enough to travel, we'll be over again. we went through nanaimo a couple of times, but mainly just to head from or to the ferry terminal...

Yes, the Pacific Northwest is a great place...................it just rains a little too much for me...............although I lived there for 50 years.
I really like Germany although I spend a lot of time in Frankfurt I traveled North, South, East and West. I was at Hockenheim in 1968 when Jimmy Clark was killed...............those were the glory days of Formula One and I loved the "before race" parties.
I really liked Cologne, Koblenz, Rudesheim, Bonn...............and all of the cities up and down the Rhine. Germany is a great place...............and with a last name of Speer...................well....................that's where my roots started.

The nearest strip... Isn't a legit one on the island, mission raceway over in Vancouver would be it.. At western speedway in victoria (circle track) they do 1/8 mile there and the long weekend in the summer we have 1/4 at port alberni air strip they actually prep very well.. And then there is 1 in port McNeil air strip which is 1/8 mile.. But way up at the top of the island... Would take me like 5 hours to drive to it and it's just a terrible drive.

Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year as well... I woke up at 4pm and my head is still hurting..guts still turning. I can see why I don't do the party thing much anymore.

:character0182:I had to dig it out first, while my best friend Joe plowed around it. Spent last nite on ebay buying parts to make my 1975 Comet a street car for shows. I am one guy that loves driving so much, I will not fly unless it is in this car.

For the past couple of years, I made a point to take the Maverick for a drive on New Years Day. Didn't get to this year since it's taken apart. :(

Started painting the big brake kit with some VHT paint. The advantage to not being married...the oven is used for baking car and gun parts!! Also picked up the VHT chassis paint for the rear end once I get that rebuilt. And finally, not for the Maverick, but I worked out a deal with my roommate for a 351 builder motor for my Comet!! :thumbs2:
