Has anyone taken the already small bumpers, cut and shorten the brackets just a little bit to bring them a little closer to the body? Its been something I've wanted to try, just wanna see if anyone's done that.

Maybe I'm just used to looking at Mustangs, but to me the frt bumper on early Mavericks actually looks like it needs to stick out more forward.

    Bumper Tuck

I've done it years ago on a 75 Comet .. turned out great , eventually I changed to a Small Bumper Setup front and rear and chucked the other bumpers. It's not that difficult .. Take measurements , and I suggest a few photos of the location of the brackets where they mount to the frame .. this will help when you reposition the brackets. I wish you success .. ( It's easier when you have a friend help with the removal and reinstall)..
