I aquired a set of cragars here recently but the problem is that they are 14s, the front isn't so bad, the width is easy to work with when it comes to finding tires, but the back are 10 wide and only option I found is 245/60. Has anyone tried mounting that size on a 14x10? If so can I see a pic of what it would look like? If not i do have a plan b. I'm currently running some 15s with some fat 275 right now but I like the 14 inch cragars. Besides smaller wheels are always funny to play with. It's like regearing your ride, they easier to turn over.:D

Pretty sure I had that size.. I can look at the tires sitting next to my garage when the rain lets up.. I suggest you roll the rear fenders.

14s are becoming extinct. 245/60s are about the only option.

I shouldn't have any problems with the room inside my wheel well, they fit good. I have a 6" drop with 275 tucked in there now. I just wanted to see if the wheel sticks out farther then the tire on the 245/60. If they do I'd probably end up cutting them down to 8.5. Then if they take the 245/60 away I have some nice flower pots.

That looks good. I was picturing something like what they do over in Japan with those wide wheels and those tires that clearly looks like they don't belong on the wheel.

Yeah crash I know what you mean with that one. The kids with te VW's around here like to "stretch" their low profile tires onto wheels that are too wide. Apparently it's the "new look" but I don't like it when the rim is clearly sticking out past the tire. two of my sons friends do it on their "dubs", LOL!

Ever try stiffening the suspension? Maybe trying some coilover shocks or something? There's a lot of suspension travel.

The tires and wheels were always on the car while it had origional shackles/springs. I had air shocks and would not fill them all the way. It did have alot of travel as you say. The car is not together now but has new 4 leaf rear springs and no air shocks.
Just got off the phone with a manager at a Discount Tire that I know. He searched and also says that a 265 60 14 is about all we gonna find. I need to hurry with my project cause 14s are on their way out.. Bums me out cause I think 15s look too big.

I am staying away from coil overs and air shocks cause they are not good for our cars. They can tear out the upper shock mounting area.

I'm not big on air shocks either. I have some on my ride but I'm thinking about putting airbags back there just filling the bags to a certain Psi for the level I want and where my rear end isn't hitting anything and be done with it. Dont need any switches or air compressors. the leaf spring will hold axle in place and it will be air ride in the back.

245's are going to look retarded on 10" wheels. And they're only 2.5" shorter than the 275's. (28 vs 25.5) They would look better on 8" wheels.
