Yeah, mine is the Dealer Accesories Pocket Price List. It is undated. I don't have any dealer ordering guides as far as prices are concerned, although I do have several Dealer Car Fact Books (the spiral bound ones that you inserted updated info into when it was sent), but they don't list prices. I do have the 72/75/76/77/78/79 Car Buying Made Easier books that show MSRP prices that we would have seen on the window stickers when the cars were new. Are you dealer order books their cost, or factory MSRP? I always understood that dealers paid 85-88% of MSRP on cars and around 85% on options. I do know that in 1970, the dealer cost on a Maverick with the $1995 list was $1695 dollars.
I have a 73 & 74 Dealer pricing books, they list both dealer cost, and suggested retail pricing. I also have the order forms for both years, and everything else I could find that the dealers would have had in 73 & 74 (trim books, advertising guidelines, sales guides) Stuff I've collected over the years, Ebay use to be a great source for all this stuff.
Yeah, but lately Ebay prices have gone higher than I want. But I also collect literature for ALL 1970's Ford Car and Trucks as I own several vehicles. So I have to be cheap to keep the cost from getting out of hand. Speaking of Advertising I have the info pack that was sent to dealers along with a record to be used by local radio stations to make radio ads. As a sign of the times, in the suggestions box it said "perhaps you could go out and conduct man on the street interviews. Maybe some usable material would result, but most would have to be faked. And it could be funny i.e. hippy sounding girl asking what kind if trips she could take in a Maverick". Ah the 60's! As far as literature, I got lucky back in the 80's at the old Pate Swap Meet in Ft. Worth when several guys were selling out and I bought most of mine then for what seems like now bargain basement prices. i probably have around 300-350 assorted pieces of literature from the 70's.
Dealer cost was $161.50 for both 73 & 74. I once had a Maverick film, one of those ones like they used in school, not 8mm, kinda like a slide show, but film.

It's a damaged over-the-counter Motorola look-alike. OK for a beater or daily driver, but that's about it. If you had one of those cars, wouldn't you rather have a low cost stereo from Best Buy anyway? Oh well, it's theirs and they can ask whatever they want.
Yes .. for a daily driver I'm putting in a real 21st century sound system. My Grabber is only for show so I want factory originality.
I think you misread by comment. It was directed at the advertised radio and had nothing to do with what you want to do with your car.
With the D4DA-19A171-BA part number it's a legit '74 Maverick & Comet radio, same model was pictured some posts back... I am a bit surprised it's a Motorola, but Ford did use their radios in the early/mid 60s...
If you are going back 100% stock...I can hook you up with lots of parts off the 1974 Grabber I parted out.
