The hood was welded up and the blocking was finished up. Should be primed for the last time tomorrow. Then off to wet sanding and sealing.

The bottom of the vehicle is preped and ready to be sealed. We decided to get the rear spoiler repaired and preped for final primer.

The spoiler and the blocking of the entire car should be done by the end of tomorrow. Then off to final primer and wet sanding.

After a long delay, the body is in final primer. Hopefully it is blocked out so there is no further adjustments. Soon after wetsanding we will seal the car, then off to color.

The main color will be velocity yellow (corvette yellow) and the stripes will be cyber gray. The outline of the strips will be a custom color that will be a couple of shades lighter that the main cyber gray stripes.

The stripe layout will start on the hood and will extend over the cowl then restart on the trunk and will go over the spoiler be not onto the tail light panel.

The taillight panel will be cyber yellow not the typical black or darker color of the vehicle.

There will also be grabber stipes down the sides of the vehicle.

I am hoping to change up the stripes a little to give them their own look that is defferent than the common stripes.

well if it comes out half as good as your primer and prep it will be AWESOME
why not have the stripes on the roof and on the tail light panel?

I didn't go back through all of your posts, to check, but isn't this a car that your Dad doesn't know that you're building for him? :)

Yes it is. I am hoping that I can give it to him for Christmas this year. Most everything is bought, restored, except the motor and transmission. I am still looking for a gas tank that will fit and is modified or custom made for EFI.

The interior should go together pretty fast once the paint is done. The painter is taking his sweet time. I keep hoping that in a few weeks I can take it home from the paint shop. Sometime in the next couple of weeks I can install the suspension so we can get it off the rotiserrie.(SP)
