Well I got my quarter panel patches I needed and I started working away on it today, gOt new drop welded in, looks beautiful but I'm concerned with how to make the inner wheel well housing that drops at the rear of the wheel well its also apart of the trunk drop and welds to the quarter panel.. So how should I, or how would you go about making them? I'm going to have to do this on both sides.. Both sides are rotted. Only plan of attack I have right now is get it all welded together and fixed.. Then try and shape that section in.. Not sure how well that would turn out though.
Can quite tell what that is there Dave; shop cleanup time maybe? I lookEd for mustang repop parts to find out what they are and they call them 'outer wheel house' patch panels.
When I bought them they were called LOWER outer wheel house patch panels. They are the rear bottom 8" (or so) of the outer wheel house.
I'll have a look at them again, was there much that needed to be done to make them fit? Or is it pretty straight forward?
