I have a dash pad that the metal underside had rusted "completely away". I had another one that the top pad was "missing", the metal underside has no rust at all. I am trying to come up with a product that will stick these two surfaces back together... they look to have been...heat sealed/molded together...in the manufacturing process... mating...foam to metal... thanks for any, probably not all suggestions... Frank...:Handshake
I have used Liquid Nails on everything and it works well, if they make one for styrofoam it should work, but I have been thinking about this today and thought, why not use just a bit of the expanding filler foam in the can from a hardware store, that will fill the holes a bit in the foam rubber and grip it, and will also stick very well to the metal, just dont put too much on it.
Do you have blue styrofoam insulation in the US? Around here they do, and they actually have blue glue.
that's right.. some versions can. I also think the expanding foam would also work well too since it also has pretty decent adhesive qualities. And I know it sure doesn't come off any eaiser than liquid nails since I use both in construction projects and ruin clothes with both products more than I care to admit.
