I just heard back from Randy. He wants to own the valance that someone sends him. He is willing to either purchase it or trade it for one of his spoilers once it is made. His reasoning is that he wants to be able to check fit on all his pieces as they are produced. Makes sense to me.

How about he makes the valance too? That is way more interesting :)

I would be in for two. I have two valances that are at the body shop that I was going to use for the car and a back up just in case.

If someone is willing to put one up I think the community would appreciate it.

I love the look of the Camaro valance Glenn. That car is going to be very unique.

The prices on that site are very reasonable.

I can't remember... the valance only works with the small bumpers correct?

    So so true!! :thumbs2:

Yes, for now these would be made for the small bumper cars.

No issues. Some are more expensive. I don't expect the Maverick one to be though.

I have a valance he can have for the price of shipping... It has the usual small dents in it but if he makes metal spoilers I'm guessing he can fix a couple of dents... It's off of a 72 comet....

I really would like to get this done. I am willing to head this thing up if you all would like. I just need to find someone willing to donate a front valance from a 70-72 maverick in great condition. If you need help with shipping I am willing.

Just let me know. If you have a valance you are willing to donate to the cause, PM me.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I would be willing to buy a valance from a member here that doesn't want a spoiler or doesn't want to donate one. The seller can ship it right to Randy at my expense. Of course I would need to confirm the trade agreement with Randy. I am only making that assumption based on what Glenn mentioned in a previous post. Hit me up if I can help.

    Tom,

Thank you for the offer of taking the reins here. I am not trying to pass it on to anyone. But since I have no vested interest in getting one made maybe it is better off being handled by someone else. I have done business with Randy and already have great communication on this project. I am positive we will get this done.

I can't thank you enough for stepping up and making the offer. I would do the same if I was looking for one for my car, but I can't even offer the trade here as mine has the Camaro part on it. If someone does take you up on your offer I would be more than happy to get you, or anyone else that wants to be involved, in direct contact with Randy and my communications.

    ..............................

I do have a pm from someone with a 73 valance he is willing to donate. My question is are they exactly the same as a 70-72?

    Glenn

I would say they are probably different because of the different bumper from the 70-72. Someone else might know for sure. I will post a wanted ad when I get home later.
