A guy here has a Maverick with 69 Mustang taillights. I've only seen it going down the road. It also has a 65 GT350R frt apron.

I don't think new Charger lamps would be an option. I suspect the are too wide. Here's a pic of my car next to a prior year Charger. It looks like it dwarfs my car to me.

the 69 charger tail lights might look good but theyre SO long coming from a big car they would have to be shortened and would most likely look like one light going all the way across

I would like to see 68 cougar headlights worked into a front end of a mav or comet
or maybe some eye lids from a rivierra?
I want to extend the end of my fenders like the 57 chevy bel air I love that over hang

I always liked the 70 GT Torino honeycomb taillights, but it would be difficult to put on a Maverick! :)

I suspect that junrai is right about the width of the old Charger lights not working out for these cars.

But.. I have dreamed about the newest Charger lights being mod'd onto my Comet. They're much thinner profiled than the last gen's but width is likely still an issue I would guess.

I like the way the charger light is outlined. I think I will do that to my cyclops tail light. Then I wont have to build 2 voltage regulators. I can use the outline for running lights and then light up the whole thing for brake lights. Heck, I might even try that on the Comet.
