Note: It was brought to my attention by Ruth that some people choose to use a debit card vs. a credit card to hold their reservation. You should ask before doing this, as I was told that some hotels place a hold on the funds in the interim if you decide to use a debit card.

Awesome! Hey Jack, what kind of layout does this hotel have for parking/trailer parking? Always a hot topic in the past. I'm hoping to have one to bring this year.

 

Similar trailer parking set-up to the previous Gatherings, plus there is an adjacent business that the hotel manager has an agreement with for overflow, if needed.

 

...it's not a camp ground, it's a Hotel...you sleep indoors...

Hey Jack,....just curious, how much of the field of dreams will be accessable since development is supposed to start this spring? didnt know if you've heard more on it, since your local.

 

As far as I have been told, there are no plans to disturb the actual Field of Dreams portion, that is going to remain a tourist attraction throughout. The hotel manager of the host hotel for the Gathering is on the Dyersville Chamber of Commerce and is active in that project.

 

thats good news,..... ya never know when some "developer" decides to make things better- in their mind.

I had seen the proposed plans in the past but wasnt sure on the originals location in it all.

If anyone is coming through the St. Louis area I am just 15 minutes from the city and offer my place for rest and refreshment until I head up to Dubuque myself.

 

...and you could leave a key under the mat for anyone coming later after you leave...

 

With this reminder, I called to make my reservations, Lynette at the hotel was super friendly and helpful. The block of rooms didn't have the room type I needed available, but she got it taken care of.

 

The staff there have been outstanding to deal with right from the beginning.

 

Just a friendly reminder again to make your reservations now. If I need to expand our room block, it will be easier to do early, than at the last minute.

I have plans on attending, unless I have something comes up to alter those plans. I believe I have solved my engine issues and intend to make my reservations vry soon..
