package tray or glove box

I've owned a 74 Maverick for 25 years and recently picked up a 72 Maverick. Not sure how I feel about the package tray. It might be because I'm used to seeing the dash with a glove box. Was wondering what others thought.

 

package tray is way nicer, i took my glove box out for it after i got my 72 parts car.

 

I guess it just seems incomplete compared to what Im used to looking at.

 

I swapped to a package tray in my '74. I kinda like the cheap Maverick look better.

 

Package tray looks good, but it sucks, you've got nowhere to put stuff, it flies all around, and slides from side to side in the package tray....

 

DITTO. I do prefer the look though. So I voted tray.

 

Tray...It allowes the instrument panel to be more defined...Makes the interrior seem bigger too.

 

Patches came with the glove box...swapped it out for the tray...

 

Package tray looks better but the glove compartment is more practical. I have had both and like the package tray better even though I am a practical person.

 

I have the look of the tray but miss the storage of a box. My near future plans include a center console i think.

 

I used some of that non-slip drawer liner in mine best buck i spent
and it comes in colors

 

My 70 came with a package tray and I'll be keeping it that way but I changed over to a package tray that came from an air car so I can use the side vents for heat only

 

I voted for glove box because the package tray looks cheaper. The glove box looks cleaner. I had a 75 before so I guess I'm partial. I swapped the whole dash in my 72 so I could have a glove box.

 

I switched to the package tray and literally one of my favorite things I've swapped from another mav. Great spot for guages, looks awesome and way more useful than that tiny glovebox

 

I like the looks of the glovebox better. My 73 has the glove box. My 70 has the package tray. I'm not changing either one. Will leave the way they came from factory...
