Hey just get a btw the seat consul--I think if you watch you can get one for 60 bucks or so from Ponyparts. Problem solved and it looks like it was meant for the car. Fits snug btw buckets and they have another that fits on the hump too I believe. :thumbs2:

didn't your tray come with the radio mount?..should just be able to do what frank did in his new comet thread in the projects to make the newer stereo fit in it.

:hmmm: Glove box I hated the tray on my 72 Comet GT both are pretty much worthless exception being at least you can put the paperwork in the glove box.

Glovebox is more practical but package tray looks better.

I think the glove box looks better, a bit more classy. To my knowledge, U only see pack trays in economy cars.
I will agree the tray opening is better for gauge installion. I used it for gauges and a pair of dome tweeters.

:) Again the glove box at least you can kind of hide small things from people or the cops I hated puttings things under the seats or leaving in the tray.

I've had both. I never was a fan of the tray until I got my 71. However, I do not use my tray. I keep my papers in the original black vinyl folder in the clip located under the passenger side of the seat. I just hope I never get pulled over. I'm sure I'll get "preferrential" treatment if I start reaching for under the seat:Blasting:

The other thing with the 73+ dashes is that they usually crack somewhere around the radio.

I vote for whatever the car came with.
