Thanks Dave, I am watching for them lol, there is a sink hole about 1/4 mile from here, I used to live 200 feet from it but we moved!

I was never quite sure what your car would look like with all of that bright green paint but it really looks good :thumbs2:

Thanks,:tiphat: I think the white stripes will tone it down a bit, I admit it is bright, and I was kinda unsure about it in the beginning, but the more I see it in the sun the more I like it, seems to have a slight yellow hue in the sun in places on it.

I think it looks great, and yes--the white stripes will break-up that sea of green(y) You must feel good about getting it to this point! Looks good, can't wait to see the stripes on it. I've been telling my kids that someone is building a real-life HotWheels Maverick and you should see their eyes widen:yup:

I'm going with 69 Camaro Hugger Orange. I've seen other cars painted with this color and in the sun, it is blinding. So I really don't mind "bright" anymore :tiphat:

Thanks Paul, yes I am kinda excited to get it finally close to being err... well ready, not ever done lol, stripes are coming just taking final measurements and making sure they are right before I cut them, don't wanna have to buy another roll of vinyl, 30 foot is kind of costly!

BTW keeping a close eye on your project thread:thumbs2:

Hugger orange is a great color, in a poll conducted by Hagerty Ins. on Classic car colors, Hugger Orange was top pick and Grabber Blue was a very close second followed by Plum Crazy!

Thanks Ken :tiphat: I need to just go ahead and cut the vinyl stripes and get them on it, it's just that the reflective vinyl i'm using is the hardest to work with, temp has to be just right and you have to put it on dry (can't use application fluid or it will bubble) and dry application is not easy for me to work with as it all has to be aligned up before and you get one shot at getting it right, once it's stuck, it's there right or wrong, like it or not, so I am a bit intimidated by it, prolly just need to have a couple of shots of Wild Turkey and go at it! :drink:

Well I found a fifth of the Wild Turkey American Honey in the store a couple of weeks ago, I love that stuff, it's so smooth and good for the voice, so if I screw up on the stripes I can scream my head off and still be able to work that night!(y)

Go to the hardware store and get you a carpenters chalk box. Snap a line to help you align the stripe before yo go to put it on. Since it's chalk, it will wipe off easily.

A small torpedo level might help, too.

Got both the level and chalkbox, now just need someone to hold the other end of the chalk line :rofl2: J/K good ideas there, kinda waiting on the weather, need at least 75 degrees and it's getting close!
