i've put a couple coats of primer on my car now and just cant really seem to get it to spray right down and into the drip rail..is there a trick to spraying it there? i dont want to get all up and close and end up putting runs in it.

spray at lower volume and pressure to kinda "airbrush' it in the cracks first.. then go over all at full volume and pressure.. thats what i do.

me too.. and that same technique applies to just about anything which is shrouded. Angle of attack is obviously important too.

Otherwise.. the paint may eventually wrap in.. but it will be leaner without a doubt.

Ya I can just tell.. It was way light before and even with my primer I can see it's super light... I think my buddy has a airbrush.. Might be the way to go..if not I'll lower the pressure and give it a go.. I just can't get the right angle on it to spray regularly. (btw I've been sanding this pos for a couple weeks) I should had started with a less wavy car.

Turn the air cap on your paint gun 90 deg. (the ears will be verticle) Drop your air pressure and paint flow a bit and you can basically cut a straight line in the gutter from front to back of car. Hold your gun like you would normally too...

This takes your pattern and makes it horizontal instead of verticle. You just have to knock the size of the pattern down to controll it in a tight place...
