We finally got the wheel well shot. I went back and forth on what direction I wanted to go with on the material to apply in the wheel well areas. I went with a thicker material that would absorb thrown rocks and road debre. It is not the smooth look that I wanted but I think in the long run it will be the better choice. I also don't think it will look to bad once the vehicle is reassembled and the vehicle is at its ride height.

 

Also got the radiator support painted. We decided on a semi gloss black which we also used on the interior.









We kept the engine compartment area yellow and front of the radiator support black.

 

So what is the material that you used? It looks great!

 

Also got the interior painted minus the trunk. I was pretty happy with the results.

Looks amazing! Are you going to paint the doors like the factory did?

 

Clearly going to be one of the nicest Mavericks around, anywhere! Fantastic detail work.

 

Are you talking where there is a color change at the seal line around the edges of the door? If so yes, that is the plan.

The next step is to paint the hinges, jambs, lower side of the fenders and trunk area. Then the assembly should should start and everything gets final the adjustments before wetland, sealer and paint.

I am having issues with the painter that is laying down the paint on the Maverick. I am hoping we can start moving forward soon.

I bought a Billet Specialties Steering Wheel and an Ididit steering column for the maverick. While I wait for the maverick to be painted I took the horn button down to steel tattoos and had it engraved with the Maverick Logo.

It turned out ok. What are your thoughts?
