Right now in the active users, there are 3 of them online viewing the forum. Crap, make that 6 and they are all banned.

I had about 70 on my site attempting to register at one time but none got through. Registration questions are the best!

One problem here on this desk top pc is that this one I am on right now, which is the one I am usually on and is showing these strange ads, belongs to my wife. She was introduced to VIPRE by a friend of hers who maintains PCs for a living including the ones at church. She purchased the VIPRE and will not let it go. SO.. As mentioned before, the VIPRE is for viruses if I am not mistaken. The ads are from malware..? I am thinking I can/should add a malware blockingremoving program..?

Yes VIPRE is ONLY an anti-virus and the ads are not caused by a virus so you NEED anti-malware software. Also, you should really convince your wife that if she wants to use a paid solution for keeping the computer clean, that Kaspersky makes a software package that covers viruses and malware and would be a MUCH better way to throw money away.

Also recently VIPRE has been getting HORRIBLE 0-day reviews on virus detection.

You need a virus software and a malware software, and VIPRE only does Viruses. If her friend isn't telling her this he's not worth his salt as a PC tech.

Just one more thing, paid anti-virus software is like buying boat insurance when you only own boats you can play with in your bathtub.
