Grand Fall Rod Run

Cool im glad to see interest in this, really looking forward to it Now i have to get my but in gear and Start the winter projects on the Maverick

 

We need to remember the Pigeon Forge mini meet at the fall rod run.We should be able to have a good turn out

 

I'm still up for this! Who all is going to be able to meet up? As I said before, if anyone is coming up 411 hwy we can meet at my house. We are moving back out to Ranger and we will be right on the highway. Anyone that wants to stop there and ride up together is more than welcome! I look forward to meeting up and seeing everyone! I hope to have the Bear Cat ready to drive by this time and may be driving it instead of trailering it!

 

I usually go the Pigeon Forge evey December. I would be willing to move our trip tonSeptember. Does anyone know the dates for this year?

The cabin we like is booked, but they have a couple that I like. I need to wait another week or two and I will book something. Will be a lot of fun!

 

We already have our rooms resereved in Gatlinburg for that weekend.
I plan on bringing the maverick if i can get the rebuild completed by then but will be there regardless.
I would like to take it down the dragons tail if possible.
Does anyone know if they are going to have an auto cross set up?
Maybe we can plan on a place to get together and talk some maverick BS.

I'm going to contact Dave B from MCCI and start the process of setting up a mini meet for the fall run. My son moved back to the area so he is going to help me on that end. Ill start getting hotel and campground info around and start posting it. I know there are a lot of places to stay that are W/in 30 miles.

 

We always stay at the Black Bear cabins right under the big white cross as you come into Pigeon Forge off of Wear's Valley Rd. It has always been real nice and they will accomodate for the trailer's if you haul anything up. Very nice people! I'm glad to see some others that are interested and hopefully we will all get together!

 

I stay in a cabin pretty close to there. Looking forward to meeting more ppl from here. Oh, and I cant wait to see the Bearcat if you bring it!

 

I am definately bringing the Bear Cat. I'm hoping to have it totally drivable by then, but if not I will trailer it! lol We will be there either way! I can't wait to meet you all too! I love talking to others who love what I do....our Comets and Mavericks!

 

since I am an hour away we usually don't stay during the spring run. for the fall we get a cabin at hidden mountain resort/cabins which is a couple miles down wears valley then turn right on Walden's creek. they have a small field to park trailers at next to the office.

 

the four doors supposed to be ready to drive next week.i'd go to the mini meet in pigeon forge if someone gets it together.i'm about six hours away so whoever does it it would be nice to figure out someplace to stay the weekend.i'd be interested in going in on a cabin with some other people.my wifes been down there half a dozen times in the last ten years,i haven't been there in thirty.i'm in!

 

I will be passing by Aberdeen on my way down, we can caravan our Mavs! Ive always used. www.greatoutdoorrentals.com. They have nice cabins

 

sounds like fun.looked up the cabins online they look great.i'm waiting till the maverick is done and i drive it a couple weeks before i make arrangements with them but the ride down sounds like a great idea.
