haha i havent been able to find it. i hope it went out the tail pipe. it was my fault it fell through. i didnt prep the are well enough. (there was a lot going on that day) i used aluminum foil as a backer. that worked just fine. also i didnt block it off at the heads. i put the intake gaskets on there with the silicone and then remembered. my buddy said it would be fine so we just continued. thats a relief. and im pretty sure it blew out because of adhesion and not heat. a local shop told me cyl 5 isnt contributing. im hoping its just because of the vac leak. and it has compression of 120. do you mean a spark plug wire?
I have a similiar setup on my car ... 83-85 Ford manifold & Holley 600. I had the same type spacer as u seem to have on ur car. The 1" alum "hollow bottom" spacer was leaking vac and new gaskets did not stop the leak. Who ever owned the car B4 me had filled in that hole in the manifold. I don't know what they used to fill it "looks like it may have been welded" , or JB Weld. I don't believe it cud be welded w/o warping the intake. Anyway, I got a new phelonic spacer and gaskets "JEG'S #555-15422" and that cured the problem.
oooo a part #! excellent. does that one cover up the egr port? how many miles have you put on that intake? i havent posted any photos of the spacer im using. its just a regular mr gasket square bore aluminum spacer. doesnt cover up the egr. will this one work? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-8714
I wud hve to check the mileage. I think it covers the port; I will take a look and repost. I don't know if the Summit spacer will work. It looks like it might cover the port... I gess only way to know is try it!
There is an article on here somewhere, and they dyno`d all kinds of carb. spacers on dual plane intk. manifolds(I think Horsepower TV).They made the most power over the entire rev range w/ a 1in. open phenolic spacer w/ most of the divider cut out of the center of the intk.
