Sanded engine bay down and did a little test spray came out ok gonna need somemore paint to finish, prolly wait till tomorrow to do that and change my distributor but I'm kinda on the fence cause that pro comp has worked perfectly for me for just riding around town, but I know a lot of people hate their product

Over the past month I've been slowly but surely getting the thing road ready again. Now it is ready to purr and make me one happy maverick owner. Got new shocks put in all around, New ball joints, New tie rod ends, Replaced the heater blower motor and fan wheel. Only thing left to put into the car is the Heater resistor which I am picking up Tuesday before work. Got the car aligned and drove it around for a little bit yesterday. Depending on weather Tuesday morning and how cold it is I might even take the Mav to work and pick up the part in it! So glad it's back on the road so I can double my gas mileage too...the roughly 20mpg is way better than the 12 I get with my truck...driving 50 miles one way to work.:yahoo:

Went into the garage and notice a strong gasoline smell. The tank to fuel line was dripping a drop about every 3 seconds. This hose was replaced back in '08 when I replaced the fuel tank. Luckily my son happen to be around to give me a 3rd hand because I had one hand busy plugging the sending unit. I now know how helpless the little Dutch boy felt like with his finger stuck in the dyke.
