I just bought a 2013 Kia Soul manual. Is it ok to upshift without the clutch? Will this cause damage?

as long as you dont grind the gears. if you match rpms to the proper speed for the next gear you can shift with out a clutch.

Why do you want to?....My Ranger pickup has a hydraulic leak in the system which i haven't gotten around to fixing yet and i've been shifting it lately without the clutch....Second and fourth are easy, third is a crapshoot depending on the speed i'm going

Don't ask us, ask the dealer...they do the warranty work, owner abuse.

Like Bryant said as long as you don't grind the gears. I use to shift my toploader clutchless all the time.

don't do it, I used to work at the import dealer and they will count that as owner abuse and will not do any warranty repairs no matter how much you wine. Its a brand new car and your not racing it takes half a second to press that pedal.

Yea. A Toploader and him in a Kia Soul. I don't see the vehicle going down the road without taking out the bottom :biglaugh:
