    Primer.....

I took the hood, left front fender, custom front valance, drivers door, spoiler and end caps to the booth for some high build epoxy primer. Today I brought all the parts home and installed a few nuts and bolts to hang the parts. I like block sanding with the parts bolted down and stable instead of moving around on a scissor stand. Plus it was nice to see the car this way.

Parts in the booth ready for primer.....

    Do you actually use Vibrance?

Looks great!!! Those valance lights are one of the coolest mods I've seen in a long time. Hopefully I will get mine off the rotisserie and on to a body cart right after I get back from the Roundup. Then I can bolt it all together and get a better feel for the final product.

Yes sometimes. The Vibrance Collection is PPG's custom line consisting of both clears and colors.

    Thanks, I like em too.

Thanks. I love the look of it as well. One of my next steps is to install the driving lights that I will be using in the valance to check fit and make sure I have the needed clearance behind there.

Today I took the lower valance off and mounted the driving lights. Slid the valance back into place for a couple pictures.

I needed to check for clearance between the lights and the radiator support, I am good there thankfully. Also, wanted to make sure they fit properly. I am not really happy with that. Aftermarket lights bolted to an aftermarket Camaro valance means things don;t lie up well. I am going to make a new mount for the lights for a better fit, but all in all I am very happy with the look.

Glenn, that valance looks sweet! Are you concerned about reduced air flow to the rad? The original Maverick valance had a relief cut below the bumper, but it looks like the Camaro valance does not. I'm just curious if you were planning on doing anything to help direct more air flow into the radiator.

I love watching your build come together!!!

Do you ever have problems with the clear running after it's applied?

Can you aim the driving lights?

    Thank you!

There is still the relief in the bumper, between that space and through the grill I think it will be sufficient. If you saw it with the bumper in place you would see what I mean. I do appreciate your comment though, fair question.

I never paint in my garage, only in a booth. Like every painter I suffer from the occasional flow indicator. But not very often. What specific base coat and clear are you having issues with, and what is the problem? Maybe I can help.

Yes, they are adjustable. They had better be, Fesler lights = plenty of $$$$$$! Seriously the quality of the lights is top notch.

My issues are with the non GM front valance and where the tabs are spot welded in.
