I have been in contact with Jeff, also known as "jeffsfordpieces" of ebay and he asked that I make people aware he is now reproducing the Boomerangs. At present he only has 2 sets left. Once sold he will have more made. These are cast out of aluminum, copper plated twice then triple chrome plated. Due to being cast out of aluminum, at times a few may have air bubbles develop during casting and may show slightly in the finished product.
Here is what he has stated in his last email to me:

NEW Reproduction 70 - 77 Ford Maverick and Mercury Comet quarter window chrome rear corners / moldings

    1. These are aluminum castings that have been triple chrome plated

    2. They are the same as fords with the screw at the top and the stud at the bottom

    3. They have the round corners as used by the early mavericks without the extra stainless trim and will fit all two door mavericks without the extra LDO trim package

    4. Some may have a few pin head pits, actually was bubbles in the casting, even so they are still show quality you won't find anything better

shipping will be by U.S. Post Office

I pack very well so shipping may be a little high *1 lbs*

also it is coming from zip 92509,

THE PRICE IS 130.00 PLUS SHIPPING PAYMENT BY PAYPAL

Anyone interested please email Jeff... vhfamily.fstfrd@netzero.net

Subject Line please enter.. Maverick Boomerangs.

Wow, that is sweet! Will they fit a 74 Grabber with the wide moulding below the quarter window?

I think they would fit, but with the rounded corner instead of the squared corner they probably wouldn't look just right. He did mention if he gets enough interest, he may have the squared corner ones reproduced as well as he has a nice set to copy. Show interest in having them made Dave by sending him an email. I'm sure if he sees a real interest he may have them made soon.

I will send him an email. Plus for that price, they can't be beat.

I also talked to Jeff about these, he said that the next batch will be priced higher. He said he barely broke even on these... get them while they are cheap. (y)

I saw those on eBay a couple of weeks ago. I bought my restored headlight bezels and hood trim from him. He does great work.

Check out his chromed taillight bezels too. They look amazing.

He should offer the option of chrome plated or not chrome plated. They really look better painted body color, unless the car has the polished trim along the top of the doors.

I see your point Frank, but in most I have seen the pits are larger than a pinhead :hmmm:....and most places really do not want to chrome the stock ones because of the work involved to mask the pits

I got mine rechromed in Cleveland OH for about $150. After he did another guy's on here, he said not for that price ever again.

Was one set left as of last night. He will have more made and is considering repairing any and all imperfections caused by the casting process before chroming....keep in mind this additional work will be reflected in the price.

Mine wouldn't need to be super nice, my car's a driver not a show car. Almost anything would be better than what I have.
