I would like to say its all me, but as you know, a good car makes a better driver, where as a good driver doesn't make a car better, The car hooks hard, goes straight, and repeats, the fiberglass rear leaf springs, and the 2.92 low gear was money well spent in the off season.

I have kind of lost interest. I loaded mine up once last year and then it rained. By the time I put on the slicks, uncap the headers, adjust the shocks, and load it on the trailer, I have already had second thoughts. Then our track bends you over for just a test and tune, much less trying to bracket race against delay box cars in Pro ET. My car runs right at the edge without a roll cage (11.55), so there is no tuning or tweaking to get excited about since I can't run any quicker. I guess I did it every weekend for so many years, it's just not a thrill or a priority any more.

I think it was easier then with a dedicated race car that I didn't have to make street ready when I got home.

where do you race? Pro et in NHRA is no electronics footbrake racing, sorry to hear you lost interest, I lived at the track from the mid 80s to the mid 90s until I got married and bought a house, then had kids, now they are 9 and 12 and go with me when we don't have baseball, softball, boy scouts, girl scouts, and bmx racing.

I won 8.0 index in my z28 a couple weeks ago. I have had the maverick at the track twice and the best it would do was an 8.44 in the 1/8 so I haven't been back with it. It needs a set of aluminum heads bad lol
