Just a thought. If someone has the resources to make (or have made) some custom emblems sort of like the Maverick horns center cap emblems but large enough to fit on a Stant gas cap. Stant gas caps are cheap and a custom emblem would make them usable to us. There could be other designs besides the factory style. Thoughts?
My dad has just about all the equipment necessary to make replacement emblems in glass/plastic for center caps and gas caps. We were talking about repairing mine, but he refuses to let me spend my own money on testing if it really can do it. I think he just doesn't want to risk damaging the equipment in case he needs to sell it. We bought it for his print shop but never learned how to use it before he got sick.
How much are talking about? How do we get a design together? Would we need a computer savy person to render a design? What about the 3D Maverick guy?
There is a place here that makes emblems, they are brass then chromed. A friend of mine has them make "Cobra" emblems, that he has the license from Shelby for.
If you are talking about the decals, like the ones I sell for the wheel decals.....but larger, you will find there will be a minimum run on those. I would say the minimum is 100 units.
I did a few for my wheels, this was the first batch, I cleaned them up a bit and recut before installing them. I have some chrome ones somewhere if I can find them.
Get one from ebay with an emblem. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Maverick-ga...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d1030396c&vxp=mtr
I’m going to my local print shop to see if they can print an embossed type emblem like the grill emblem and premium gas cap emblem. It appears to be aluminum, especially th one on the stant type gas cap.
