Yes, 2 door from 70-72 and 4 door from 71-72, all share the same front end.

Maybe he's got a 73 valance on there and never knew it. A little damage to the original, replaced with a 73?

They look totally different, it's not hard to notice the difference, it's a huge gaping hole, compared to a way smaller hole.

This thread is very lacking in PICs

I would like to see some quality shots of both spoilers installed from a few angles ... I can't decide:beerchug:

My pictures are on page 6 (post#51). I'm not sure how else to shoot it since it's only really seen from the front. I guess if I pushed the car out of the garage (she is very at home in the garage I might add) that I might be able to get a shot from below and the front maybe. Short of that I don't know what I could do. A shot from the rear would be kind of useless...:naughty: :rofl2:

I can't help with actual pics, but I can say I personally like a narrow spoiler better than the wrap around. My fiberglass spoiler is narrow much like Randys. If I didn't already have one to use, I'd go with one of these over the Shelby one. But I do understand others like the wrap around look. Here's a pic of my fiberglass one. Much like Randys. I had to lighten the pic up with effects so it would show up...the original was very dark.

Thanks for asking, but there doesn't seem to be much interest.

See post 62. I installed the 70-72 spoiler on my 73 Comet. Need a little more bend in the corners. Still a nice fit.

I need to save some cash, and order one of each...I've spent way to much on my cars this summer, my wife is a little crabby....I really like how it looks on Ricks car.

The 1973 Comet and Maverick front valance are the same. The 73 has little different shape on the outer sides and larger opening than the 70-72.

it's hard to choose.. not enough pics installed. I wonder which one deflect the most air??? Most surface area? the most functional one? I noticed that the first one doesnt seem to fit the curve of the valence at the end??? does the end suck in when screwed on?
