Our town has no building codes for footings on garages. It took all of 15 minutes to get my building permit. A lot of buildings here are slab on grade, including houses. The garage I'm attaching it to is 20 years old this year without a single problem. SPark
Making some headway. Most of the roof is sheeted, walls done, going to put in windows and doors tomorrow (hopefully). Been fighting weather (rain, 100* heat takes it out of me for sure), Menards forgot to schedule my truss delivery so that cost a few days since I lost my help to put them up. It's all good. Found a nice rear valance a couple weeks ago, better than the one I have. Also got a stock hood from the same guy. Going to try making my own fiberglass hood. Some crappy stuff out there, might as well make my own. I've done a bit of glass work thru the years so it's something I'm comfortable with doing. Later all! SPark Here's some pics as of last night. Spent the day today putting facia and overhang on by myself since all my help had to work. I found that if you get trapped without help, you can get pretty inventive to get things in place. Hung 2x6x14' facia boards and a 2x6x16' by 12" wide overhang by myself. Also got about half of the sheeting on the other half today. I hate carpentry work but found that Vice Grip welding clamps make great helpers and don't complain about the heat! New 22x26 garage stall area The "hobby area" 12x26 on the south end. What it looked like last night just before it rained again.
Very nice!, i don't see any lights on the outside of the shop for at night though, unless you dont walk that way? or your going through to the other side and out. (or maybe they aren't done boxing yet) but it looks very nice..wish i had that much room.
I won't have anything on the new garage except a walk-in door on the end. All other access will be thru the existing garage, just haven't cut the hole in the existing wall until we have it all closed in. Unfortunately, there is no "they" building this one. I'm doing it. Helped on the original one 20 years ago so this is a slightly smaller copy of it. I have a friend that stops over after work each evening and we do things until it gets dark. No help today but got the facia on, put the overhang on, some sheeting on the roof, ripped out al the bracing and finished the exterior walls. There will be a single light at the south (new) walk-in door when it's done. Wiring is there but light can't go up until we're done with the siding. Later, SPark
Let's see...... 1962 F100 Unibody (390GT with late '62 dual quad intake with 600's/C6, 9", Industrial Chassis Dakota IFS, triangulated 4 bar rear), 1966 F100 (85,000 mile original 352 backed by a T-5 and 3:25 geared 9" and lowered), 1961 Pro Street Falcon (460/C6, tube frame) and the Maverick. Also have 1 remaining complete 351W race motor, 3 short blocks for 351W, a dozen or so sets of heads, half a dozen different intakes, A couple of 292 "y" blocks, 302 Boss engine, sheetmetal brakes (2), bead rollers, welders, etc. Think we can fill it up just fine. I do have a set of nice '57 ECZ-G heads and the matching ECZ 9425-B intake from a '57 bird. Bought them from the original owner many years ago. They came with the 1.54:1 ECG rockers. Also have a second set of ECZ-G heads with cracks. Also have a set of 5752-113 heads from a '59. Have a '61 C1AE 292 block out of a unibody. Also have a '59 block out of a pickup that is good. 1 nice crank but it's a 292 stroke. Have a second core crank. Have 2 sets of C2AE rods, go ahead and send the C1TE rods over though. I will need your rocker setup and valve covers, go ahead and drop them in the mail. Going to put a Y-block on an engine stand in the "hobby" room and the 302 boss may become a coffee table under glass. SPark

The last one did 356hp with a single 750Holley. These are the heads I'd really like to find along with the injection...........................see, if you lived closer.................!?
Finally got the roof all on tonight! Tomorrow it's soffit and I'm closed in. Hoping to have the roof over the patio area done by this weekend and get the hole cut between the 2 garages. Maybe in the next few weeks the Maverick and Unibody can come back home! SPark
