Well ive pulled the font suspension apart t re-do things and clean it up alognwth the manual steering swap, I've now got most of it out and blasted, the rest should be done by the weekend.. So my question is what color should I have it coated? My car is black, engines ford blue.. I was thinking either red (random ad maybe just too much color?) or ford blue to match the engine, but would it be too much blue having everything done that color? Having everything black on a black car just seem blah..So I'm Open to other suggestions aswell..

Also ordering my parts from summit this week so I can get the engine back together.

Since I'm a fan of orig/period correct if possible, I'm going to do my steering linkage with cast blast or similar... What's OK with me is a performance carb, nice set of headers, aluminum heads or intake that really wakes up the performance... That said I think red or any other bright color screams "hey look at me" without adding any performance or functionality, still it's your car and if you'd like to paint the steering linkage bright yellow, mint green or red it's OK with me...

I would go...cast blast...it makes for a good color contrast with other colors.

just had a look at a few pics on google and it does look pretty good.

i thought about the red, and yes it does just stand out too much for me..i've pretty much done everything i can do to this engine besides going to the largest cam comp makes..or a turbo/nitrous cam, but not sure how the idle on the street would be with the large n/a cam...i've done the trans and rear end as well. so now its about making things look a little better without having 12 different colors and looking like an idiot when people see it. cast blast is a very nice color though. might be a good choice.

    - only thing i'm left debating on my car is going with a blow-through turbo set-up around 7-8psi and hopefully keep it all together.
    if it blew..i'd go 351 base..302 was a waste of time/money.

How much time will you spend looking at it, or showing it to other people? If the answer is little to none then color may be irrelevant. If it is a show car you may want to go with something that looks natural, or outrageous, depending on your taste.

I had my intake manifold and all kinds of other stuff powder coated black and burgundy to go with the whole scheme of my paint job
in your case I would do a blue like your motor but alternate back and fourth with blue and maybe yellow? or do a silver alternate color
