Do they plan to release the final product like this, they going to correct this or they just going to roll with it?
cant notch the "box" to gain the needed 12 degrees?

I would be interested in participating if Unisteer is willing to cut us a volume discount break.

I'm with you. (If I can ever lock onto a transport and that is ALL that I am waiting on!) Will be sending it to Rod & Custom for the RC 107 and have their fabricators look at a few other aspects while it is there.

I've already obtained the 5.0 Coyote motor; 2014 with only 752 miles on it. I think oddest thing I've seen in a while is a 2014 Mustang GT on a lift with its motor removed and the temp tag from the dealership was still on the car...

I called Unisteer today and was told there is still no kit available for our cars. When pressed for a date, they were unwilling to make a commitment, stating, "it is still in development".

I called unisteer today and spoke with Brian, he said the power rack and pinion would be out before the end of the year, but no specific date given. He did quote a price of 1599.00 and also said they could be purchased at this time. Just a heads up.

Can you just buy the kit, and put in a manual rack instead of the power rack and all the pumps and hoses?

Yes, waste of all those other parts. But if you really want manual...

No, they do a lot of work to the rack, it's not just an off the shelf rack.
They convert a front steer rack, to rear steer, so it can be pushed forward to eliminate any long tube header issues, and allow for a less of an angle for connection to the steering column.
They also modify the turning radius, to eliminate any, interference.

    Oh. Just a thought.

I can see the pictures but cannot clearly see what all is included.

Another thought (stop me if you need to...)

I have heard of people filling the power rack with fluid, and either putting a small reservoir on it or just capping off the lines. Then running them as manual. Not sure how safe/effective/feasible that would be.

It is not under pressure, so no heat to kill the fluid, and the fluid is there to keep parts moving but without the power assist.

Personally, I used the R&C 106 kit and used a manual rack because fan2488 had one and sold it to me with the other parts. I don't mind power steering, as long as it is new and modern and not 2500 leaky hoses squirting fluid all over my garage.

Just to add fuel to the fire, though...if I was spending that kind of money, I would want to lose the shock towers.

But these guys did a lot of work to develop this and they deserve to sell as many as they can to recoup their R&D costs. And not everyone is in to cutting up the front half of their cars.

But I really hated those shock towers.

Just look at all this open space!

I don't get the issue with power steering? I've rebuilt mine, since it was 40 years old, and it doesn't leak a drop, regardless, this kit has it's place, and if someone doesn't like the idea, they don't have to buy it.
