valve cover leaking on xterra. Too difficult to get to. Any oil additives to fix it?

Just fill the engine bay with that expanding foam, I hear it helps keep things cool too with the powers of insulation.

We had a shop truck with over 300k miles with a leaky valve cover gasket that was a major pain to fix corectly. We de-greased the engine and smeared some gasket maker on the area that was leaking. After going through this a few times it finally sealed. Got another 100k out of it with no further leaks. Might work if you can get to the leaking area, but If your dad is planning on keeping the vehicle for a while or if he uses it a lot I would recommend getting it fixed correctly (says the guy with a leaking valve cover gasket on his 250 Maverick!).

To make matters worse, he used to live two blocks off the beach and he would take 30 weight and spray his engine bay, suspension parts, and undercarriage to keep the salt from getting into everything, so this entire car is a greasy mess.

I am not going to get within 6 feet of it. I brought only my nice clothes with me.

Really? They sell them there? Hmmm. I did not know that.

What area of the store would I find them in?
